Game fishing is a popular in the waters that surround Madang and the coastal currents carry sailfish, kingfish, tuna, mackerel, barracuda, marlin, yellow fin and wahoo within 100 metres of the shore providing anglers with plenty of good sport.

Fishing is especially good off the waters around Karkar and Bagabag Islands. Game fishing charters can be arranged by prior arrangement. If you are keen to drop a line you have the choice of Bertram game boat, smaller banana boat or a tinny with or without a driver. If you really want to learn from the experts, we can arrange for a fishing expedition from luxury charters to a trip with one of the locals in a traditional canoe.

The Kalibobo Village has its own Game Boat, or we can arrange to charter Reel Fishing Charters operated by well known fishing identity Brett Middleton who is based at Kaviak Plantation on Kar Kar Island.
